Have you competed in recognised 10km event anywhere in Australia this year? Races include the Brisbane Marathon Festival or Runaway Noosa. Submit your results to AMA by the end of August. See their website for details.
April 2026
The 'Postal Half Marathon Challenge' continues again this year to allow athletes from anywhere across Queensland the opportunity to participate. Run one, two (or more if you are keen) half marathons anywhere in Australia during the above period. The event must be held on a certified course, with electronic (chip) timing. Several highly coveted small trophies will be awarded at the end of the Challenge.
October 2026
Take on the challenge and compete in all pentathlon events to earn an overall pentathlon score, or simply enter the individual events that interest you.
- All pentathlon events must be completed to obtain a pentathlon score.
- Track events are open to anyone wishing to compete in those distances.
- Field events are as outlined in the pentathlon program.
Online registrations close at 4:00pm on Saturday 24 October. Registrations on the day will be accepted until 8:00am.

The complete Brisbane timetable is now available for October - December 2026 (May be subject to change due to weather or venue requirements).
Entries for Brisbane Region Meets are accepted online Thursday evening prior to the weekend meet, or on the day at the venue up to 45 minutes before the competition starts. Hurdles entries are ONLY accepted online before Thurs 7pm (no entries on-the-day).
Entries open Thu 8 October, 12:00pm, online entries close Thu 22 October, 7:00pm.
November 2026
Friendly QMA weekend competition, held at QSAC. All are welcome. Event program to come.
40 different sports, including track and field.
QMA are putting together teams for the following events:
- 4 x 100 m
- 4x 200 m
- 4 x 400 m
- 4 x 800 m
- 4 x 1500 m
- 3 x Long jump
- 3 x Discus
- 3 x Shotput
The current draft timetable for the event has been published on the QA website.
Follow the registration link below. On the registration page, please select QUEENSLAND MASTERS ATHLETICS as your club, then tick the events you are interested to competing in. You must be a financial QMA member, so renew before trying to nominate.
NOTE: Members may only compete for one club over the Championships. This means, eg, if you are a member of both QMA and TEES, you must decide which club you want to represent in all events you wish to compete it.
The organisers will try to fit you in to your selected teams, but this will depend on who else has nominated. Once you have entered and paid the fee, please confirm your interest with the coordinator Tamara by email to mastersqldrelay@gmail.com .
